Studio progress with ps lettering shop

June 6, 2016 by Angela

if you’re following my posts over on The Blog Market, you might’ve seen my studio progress. i’ve thrown myself into making this space a real studio in the past month. i’ve had it for over a year but i didn’t know quite where to start, plus for awhile i thought we might move. but! no matter when that happens, it always helps to be surrounded by inspiring things.

quotes always inspire me, but not just the same ones i see floating around Pinterest. i think we all have those words that move us and motivate us. when i started collaborating with Rachel of ps lettering shop, i got to bring some of those words to life.  [Read more…] about Studio progress with ps lettering shop

Show Me Your Mumu Kimono | iffoundmake.com

happy may! this might be the longest i’ve gone without a blog post in many months, but i think about this little blog every single day. i always take photos and have so much i want to post, and lately i haven’t even had time (mental time, really) to instagram, let alone write out something to go along with entire shoots. i’ve been wanting to improve my photo editing skills so i kind of put these off forever, but it’s finally time to share some of the places i’ve gone and thing’s i’ve worn over the last two months… i mean, i think i have photos from early march to share still.  [Read more…] about The florals are back

Conscious shop: natural beauty brands

March 4, 2016 by Angela

wildflower night blossom perfume, rms bronzer, bar soap brooklyn, wash & stain bar, ilia balmy nights exfoliator, toothbrush, mullein & sparrow tinted lip & cheek balm, alima pure cloak & dagger collection, priti polish, siesta bath salts

i’ve been using the same makeup for what seems like years; each time i run out i quickly purchase the same foundation, mascara etc. while i have some very tried and true products i also love to try new natural beauty brands, especially with bath and body and skincare. (i also have a slight obsession with trying new lipstick shades, there are just so many out there!) beauty products also make wonderful gift ideas. it’s those things that lots of us probably wouldn’t splurge on ourselves but are always happy to receive. shop my current faves via the links above!

Arts District + Mary Young dress

March 2, 2016 by Angela

my move into conscious clothing has been difficult the last year. my clothes have always come from thrift shops, but thrifting in LA isn’t like the PNW (you have to really commit to going far outside the city to snag deals without the markups), and after taking a pause from selling on Etsy, i’ve been less inspired by vintage, just because i don’t see it everyday and it’s quite difficult to find the most wearable pieces. as i move toward slow fashion, i still want to be creative with my style. i think being conscious and sustainable must always be balanced with creative expression and my biggest thing right now is that it IS possible, and hey, maybe even on a budget too.
