Labor Day is on Monday and as much as I love that it’s a symbol of a brand new season, my favorite season (I don’t pick favorites often, but when I do, it’s about the weather), I just can’t start posting about fall fashion yet. It’s been a HOT summer in Los Angeles. We finally had a bit of cooler weather this week and all I wanted to do was be outside and enjoy it. Funny how when I lived in Washington it was sunny weather that got me outdoors and now it’s the opposite. Such is life.
So it’s just too soon for me to start going totally fall, despite my stockpile of scarves, sweaters, and even *the* greatest knit poncho ever patiently waiting in my closet. Within a month I’ll be completely obsessed with bringing this Pinterest board to life. For now, this is the perfect time to dress up forgotten summer essentials and push myself out of my Levi-cutoffs-and-ribbed-tank rut before the next season really hits. Side note: The concept of a conscious closet–being intentional about each piece you own–is really making waves right now, but I think it’s important not to just focus on how it’s sustainable for you, but how you’re contributing to the bigger picture. That’s why I chose everything from the conscious fashion sites below!
Pashen Collection Crochet Dress from Ethica / Sleeveless Tux Shirt from Zady / Dunaway Bra from Need Supply / Evelyn Brass + Horn Statement Cuff from Raven + Lily / Alden Cut-Out Booties from Kaight / Tigist Clutch from FashionABLE

I’m trying to build a more conscious closet too, but had no idea about any of these brands. Thanks for shedding some light on the subject. The clothes are my style for the most part.
