You won’t find me walking along the ridges of the highest peaks in Griffith Park quite so much during the hotter half of the year, (though I try to catch a view of the city from above whenever I can) so we’re getting in our hikes now while it’s nice and mild out and the breeze is cool. It’s incredible how green Los Angeles becomes with even the smallest bit of rain. When the clouds envelop us, it becomes a whole new city.
It’s the new year and I feel like I haven’t quite figured things out. I am a person who likes to have things figured out before new years just roll right in, I don’t like being caught off guard. I have a few resolution-like lists, but most of what I hope to accomplish this year is internal, within me. More on that later. For now, I wanted to share my recent iPhone photos from a hike near the Observatory in Griffith Park. (I’m trying to be better about uploading my iPhone photos!) And, mention that January is on the move. Essentially each and every project I’m working on has taken off, OFF! Which is great, but my attention’s being pulled in so many directions. This blog and my journal and essays and poems and reading are always on my mind. So. I’ll be updating here when I can, and hopefully with a journal entry soon too!

It’s hard when we’re trying to do too many things Angela, take a step back and maybe weed something out… simplicity sweetie. ♥ We can only do our best at something if we can find focus.
I didn’t have the gumption to do a blog post about the new year until today, myself… emotions have been up and down for me, but that’s typical this time of year I think. We are always re-evaluating, that just means we’re growing at our own speed. 🙂
Love to you always, and blessings for this year.
