Sunset on March

march is a good month for LA. cool and crisp (with your expected 80 degree day mixed in), with a little (or a lot of) haze, good hikes, and blooms. everything here is in bloom. as much as southern california seems very much in a single state of sunny all year long, spring is when you really, truly start to wake up to all the plants and petals surrounding you. but more on that later. for now a sunset shoot on a particularly hazy day.

absolutely my favorite time to shoot. that teeny tiny few minute window when the sun falls completely under the horizon yet still a subtle light filters through. and gone.

i spent a lot of the month being stressed out by things that normally do not stress people out: new opportunities, upcoming birthday, plans all in the air, all these wants to do and all these have to dos. it’s the truth: no one can put pressure on you like you put on yourself. but i also did some things for me that i’m happy about: started exercising more (okay, at all), discovered new trails to walk, spent afternoons at the park, invited my friends to join me on a very promising side project i’ll share later, had some productive meetings, lots of brainstorming. all in all: a good march. what about you?
