The florals are back
happy may! this might be the longest i’ve gone without a blog post in many months, but i think about this little blog every single day. i always take photos and have so much i want to post, and lately i haven’t even had time (mental time, really) to instagram, let alone write out something to go along with entire shoots. i’ve been wanting to improve my photo editing skills so i kind of put these off forever, but it’s finally time to share some of the places i’ve gone and thing’s i’ve worn over the last two months… i mean, i think i have photos from early march to share still. Sunset on March
march is a good month for LA. cool and crisp (with your expected 80 degree day mixed in), with a little (or a lot of) haze, good hikes, and blooms. everything here is in bloom. as much as southern california seems very much in a single state of sunny all year long, spring is when you really, truly start to wake up to all the plants and petals surrounding you. but more on that later. for now a sunset shoot on a particularly hazy day.

But this might be our only month of really good rain (for better or worse), and I always like to do a few unexpected things. So, my guide for making the most of a rainy day in the city Los Angeles: [Read more…] about What to do on a rainy day in LA
Hiking in Griffith Park + life lately
You won’t find me walking along the ridges of the highest peaks in Griffith Park quite so much during the hotter half of the year, (though I try to catch a view of the city from above whenever I can) so we’re getting in our hikes now while it’s nice and mild out and the breeze is cool. It’s incredible how green Los Angeles becomes with even the smallest bit of rain. When the clouds envelop us, it becomes a whole new city. [Read more…] about Hiking in Griffith Park + life lately
