happy may! this might be the longest i’ve gone without a blog post in many months, but i think about this little blog every single day. i always take photos and have so much i want to post, and lately i haven’t even had time (mental time, really) to instagram, let alone write out something to go along with entire shoots. i’ve been wanting to improve my photo editing skills so i kind of put these off forever, but it’s finally time to share some of the places i’ve gone and thing’s i’ve worn over the last two months… i mean, i think i have photos from early march to share still.
i’ve probably mentioned but i’ve been working on launching a new website over the last couple months. jennifer is developing it and we’ve both been juggling it and the blog market while also having little things called jobs. in april i took the advice of many of the people i talk to/follow/who follow me, and took a break from the blog and #yearonpaper, and didn’t do quite so much for TBM either.
but it wasn’t all work. (and honestly, i love what i do.) we had a quick trip up to san francisco, my family visited, kevin + i both celebrated birthdays, and we met up with charity to explore the carlsbad flower fields. i spent a lot of time along the socal coast, and even more time in the car. so yeah, there was work, but there was just as much adventure, and may is looking to be much the same.
the new website? i don’t know if it will one day replace this one; i don’t think so. i think i’ll always come back to if found, make., to post projects and little style posts and ten too many sunset photos. where else would they go? in a way this is what i do instead of printing and framing and hanging photos in often temporary rental apartments. i’ve got it all right here.
about this look. i’ve written about show me your mumu before, a california brand that also has a line of wedding fashion – this kimono is actually a cute bridesmaid “getting ready” robe that i had to try for daily wear. in the fall, i’m all about those earth tones and deep hues but the second i see spring blooms taking over, i get all giddy for florals. this will never change. i fully accept my floral obsession, and mumu is the place to go for such a thing.
what are you wearing lately? ps: if you’re following along with #yearonpaper, check your inboxes later this week for a new entry… finally!
kimono: show me your mumu / shoes: payless / jeans + tee: old / necklace: flea market

I can’t wait to see your new website, honestly I love your writing, style, and photography skills. Your easily one of my top favorites!

Hey Allie! Time totally got away from me with blogging, you know how that goes! Thanks for the sweet message 🙂 I LOVE these shoes, and am using them to teach me how to walk in heels (though they are super thick so it’s not that big of a feat!). Can’t believe I found them at payless 🙂

Hey sweetie! I haven’t been blogging much lately either, but I’ve been thinking about you, and trying myself, to get back into the swing of things! Sounds like you’ve been keeping yourself busy with adventures and sight seeing… so glad. 🙂
Love you much, and see you around lady!
xoxo!!
